Private Equity and Its Involvement in Modern Warfare

  • Before we just had human beings.  It took a lot of human beings with a lot of thought and motivational inspirings to lead a group of Soldiers toWar.  Julius Caesar was one man, who lived around 49BC, who did not like the way the Roman government was functioning so he led his Legion to Rome and conquered the country.  We get the idea “crossing the Rubicon” from him, as when he crossed the Rubicon River into Italy with his Army, he was committed to both war and a treasonous death if he lost.  We are evolving to where one man, with enough money, can buy enough fighting robots and autonomous drones, to where he could take over the world.  Most likely, your mind is saying no, this could not happen, there is no man with the ambitions of Julius Caesar who might try to take over the world and kill a lot of people. It is my opinion that the next Julius Caesar, with world ambitions, is alive today.  Some of the reasons for this fear of future catastrophy are:
  • Robots   At the World Inteligence Conference, held in Shanghai in 2025, China showcased its advancements in autonomous robots who performed at a robot boxing match showing the robots agility and fluid motion in fighting. The Chinese robot Army has grown by over 300,000 robots in one year, and Chinese factories have installed over 150,000 robots per year since 2017. Fighting robots have been deployed in Ukraine, with robots showing up on battlefields where humans are afraid to fight, and robots sent in with explosives to blow up enemy positions. Two of these robots were manufactured in San Francisco at Foundation Labs. The Research and Development wing of the Ministry of Defense, Government of India, is working to make robots integrated in their units, including running along side their Soldiers and carrying their supplies or wounded back to safety.
  •  Drones Militaries around the world are purchasing combat drones that can process data, and make their own decisions to kill or not kill autonomously.1  In the United States, the number of drones have increased from 42,000 in 2015 to over 1.7 million in 2020 (an increase of over 4000%), and the number of drones in the world is around 14 million.2Militaries around the world are purchasing combat drones that can process data, and make their own decisions to kill or not kill autonomously.3 During fighting in Iran in March 2025,  Iran launched massive amounts of “cheap drones” across the border into Kuwait, some of which made it through a US laser defense system, killing 6 US Soldiers at a operations center in Kuwait
